Rhino Watch Safari Lodge Full Board Rate includes: breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the holiday price, but any drinks or snacks outside these meal times will cost you extra.
– Christmas surcharge Dec 24th to Jan 2nd 1,500 KSH per person Easter surcharge 1,500 KSH per person no extra charge for picnic lunch
– The minimum stay between Dec 24th to Jan 2nd is 2 nights.
Child Policy:
– Children up to 2 years are free of charge.
– Children 3-12 years pay 50% sharing room with parents ( max.1).
– Children using a separate room pay 75 % of the room rate.

About Rhino Watch Safari Lodge

Rhino Watch Safari Lodge offers maximum comfort in a friendly atmosphere and provides an ideal base for safari game drives in various parks and protected areas that surround the lodge. These areas are some of the best places in Africa to see the rhino.
The Lodge is situated in Kenya´s central highlands nestled between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains. The magnificent view of Mt Kenya is only one of the reasons to choose a safari holiday here. The complex offers several different accommodation styles, including luxury safari tents, comfortable chalets, and cozy family homes.
Their experienced staff and complete kitchen allow us to offer virtually any type of food. The menu includes vegetarian dishes, a children´s menu, fresh fish from the Indian Ocean or the mountain streams of the Aberdares, the best quality beef from the pastures of the central highlands, and Indian rice dishes. You name it, we can prepare it. Every day we also serve a delicious selection of fresh fruits and vegetables from the fertile gardens of the surrounding area.
The Rhino Watch Safari Lodge is located in the vast plains between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains. It is our concern that all our guests feel comfortable with us. That is why there are different accommodations for different requirements. In the upper area of ​​the complex, there are 5 double chalets and 2 family chalets. These are pure feel-good accommodations where you also like to stay, relax, and enjoy. In the lower area, 9 exclusive safari tents were lovingly built in a bush forest. Since September 2013 there has also been the new, exclusive honeymoon chalet, which is located slightly outside the complex.
Drinks are served in our cozy bush bar. The hotel complex is only accessible to guests of the Rhino Watch Lodge and is closed to the public. So all guests are among themselves. The bush restaurant, completed in September 2012, offers maximum comfort in a warm atmosphere. Here we serve delicacies from our bush kitchen. Also new is the outside terrace directly in front of the restaurant.
In the middle of the lodge, there is a pond where weaver birds like to nest. Right next to it we built a library with a small sunset bar. Here is a TV with a cable connection available to learn the latest from all over the world. On the roof, you have a great view and you can watch birds on the roofs of the trees. A birdwatching veranda at the pond has also been open since December 2014.
The veranda is surrounded by blooming flowers and bushes. The ideal place to take tea. Next to the Sunset Bar, there is a pavilion that we use for demonstrations. Small seminar groups can also be accommodated here. Special interest groups can also make excellent use of this space, such as yoga or meditation.
There has been a small spa section since December 2014. This is equipped with a sauna, a relaxing jacuzzi, and a massage room. Here we offer various relaxing massages, a real relaxation after an exhausting safari day. We are constantly striving to further align the lodge to the needs of our guests and thus create the highest standard for your well-being. Room Types at Rhino Watch Safari Lodge

Exclusive Tents
Their Exclusive Tents are furnished with a queen-size bed or 2 single beds. The baths are built of stone, offering a comfortable shower, a washstand, and a toilet. In front of the veranda, you will find a flower garden. All the Tents have been tastefully decorated in the African style.
For a real safari feeling, we offer exclusive safari tents that have been set up in a forest and garden setting. In the morning you will be woken by an amazing concert of singing birds such as mousebirds, starlings, and the Red-cheeked Cordon-bleu. Weaver birds are nesting in the acacia trees.
The tents are about 23 square meters and are available with either a double bed or 2 single beds. They are all equipped with spacious, tastefully decorated bathrooms. The warm shower provides the necessary refreshment after a day of game safaris and wildlife viewing.
Each tent has a small veranda with a lovely landscaped garden, a nice place to sit down and relax with a book and a glass of wine after an inspiring, but tiring day. Our Rates are inclusive of breakfast, lunch (at the lodge or a packed lunch), and dinner.
Family Tents
Family Tents have enough space for your family to share special moments. The very spacious family tent has two bedrooms and a living room. The bedrooms are equipped with a double bed and two single beds. There is also a desk and shelves. The spacious tent is also ideal for long-term stays.
Exclusive Chalets
The exclusive chalets offer a living- and bedroom of 25 sqm, furnished with a king-size bed. The spacious bathroom comes with a shower, a toilet, and a washstand. At the front side of the house, there is a wide veranda overlooking a flower garden and offering a view of Mt. Kenya.
The roofs are thatched with Makuti, a completely natural material, which consists of coco palm leaves, knitted on the stem of the plant. Each double chalet has a stylish living/sleeping area offering 25 square meters of ample space and featuring a comfortable king-size bed with mosquito netting complemented with a small desk and chairs. It is possible to request an extra bed to accommodate 3 people.
The large bathrooms have a shower, washbasin, and toilet. There is a large covered patio area at the front of the chalets with a beautiful flower garden. The front windows are designed specifically to allow for the magnificent view of Mount Kenya, which can be enjoyed from every chalet.
Family Chalets
They have 2 family Chalets each with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms all fully furnished en-suite with hot water showers and they can fit up to 5 family members. They have a panoramic view from the bed, overlooking Mount Kenya with a very high roof that ensures natural ventilation, a private terrace that has an attractive view of Mount Kenya, and the Solio plains. The deck overlooks a glorious garden. The generous front windows offer a wonderful view of Mount Kenya, to be enjoyed from all the chalets.

Bush Bar – Drinks are served in our cozy bush bar, The bush bar was completed in September 2012, and offers maximum comfort in a warm atmosphere.

Conference Room – They have a well-equipped conference room with enough space for you to hold your meeting during your stay.

Bird Watching – Kenya is a paradise for bird watching. Around the Rhino Watch Safari Lodge are countless species of birds. These include endemic species such as the eagle owl. Also, the variety of birds of prey is enormous with fish eagles, Augur buzzards, crested eagles, snake eagles, and many others. Very colorful are the European rollers and starlings
